Septiquad Ruim disinfectant is suitable for disinfecting holds in accordance with current regulations. It is only authorized as a product for controlling bacteria and yeasts in areas where food and beverages are prepared, processed, or stored, such as in the holds of a ship.

For proper use as a disinfectant, it is important that heavily contaminated bilges and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned beforehand with Ruimreiniger cleaner. Once pre-cleaning is complete, the bilge and treated surfaces must be rinsed thoroughly with clean water, and then excess water must be removed.

During disinfection, sufficient liquid should be applied to keep the surface moist throughout the entire disinfection process.

The minimum contact time is five minutes. When treated surfaces may come into contact with food or beverages, they must always be thoroughly rinsed with clean water after the contact time.

For places where food and beverages are prepared, processed or stored, as well as for general use, the concentration of use is 0.4%, which corresponds to 40 ml per 10 litres of water.

The product contains didecyldimethylammonium chloride as its active substance at a concentration of 100 g/l. It belongs to the toxicological group of quaternary ammonium compounds, is a liquid preparation and is authorized under number 12268N.
